In a wierd sort of subconscience way I think we have all cataloged our trip visualy by the movie posters that come and go with each month. This one did not last very long, be we certainly embraced it as our trip mantra and group nickname.
When it was released in france in read "Band of Savages" instead of the "Wild Hogs". We find both of them appropriate, but tend to only refer to ourselves as wild hogs when we are riding some sort of two wheeled vehicle.
Most of the time we are the "Band of Savages"
This is just a little behind the scenes trivia, feel free to comment as to who is who in this movie poster, or who ought to play each of us in the eventual remake of the supertrip as a dramatic feature film.

Known for his ruthless dedication to the mission, Vladimier is equally feared for his quick palm strike and creative pain delivery methods. You may think that you slipped under the radar, but Vlad is just waiting for the right moment to separate you from your existence with cold Russian precision.

This may be a premature announcement... but it is monumental in its implications.
Mike Mann may join us in Paris in July
Mike would be a return visitor to the area and a welcome addition to the SuperTrip crew for as long as he is able.
When Mike heard that I would be visiting Paris, he forced me to endure a 3 hour tour of every brick and subterranean passage via google earth. Needless to say, Mike's presence would be very valuable in this city.
Aside from being a connoisseur of Paris, Mike is a good friend and founding resident of the SuperHood. Mike routinley visits SuperHouse to deliver a sound thrashing via the rocket launcher on his best friends.

Also known as Carl by some, but not us. SeaWolfe is an accomplished videographer who can not help but to continue shooting footage regardless of the sacrifice it may ask of his own body and personal safety. The SuperTrip is honored to have the Wolfe on board for the SuperTrip 07.

Mark gets excited about ideas. This trip looks just like a good idea to him--it's got risk and potential reward, it's not quite like what he's done before, it costs something. Let's say there's a chess move where you sacrifice a piece but win the game. Mark doesn't always see those moves, but if he happens to notice, that's the moment in his life when he feels the least doubt. You have to do it.
Mark studied philosophy in college and doesn't know how to apply it except to everything. His occupation for 3 years has been trying to help teens see if the path they're on leads to problems, and trying to help them change paths if they want. He has almost no hope of carrying on a conversation unless it's passionate.
Mark needs to learn about human beings and God on this trip to make it pay off. To help yourself learn, you can go to class, which Mark isn't knocking. Or you can just go somewhere you've never been.

This is Mr. Losen with a nuclear powered spork... He is not sure if he will invest in this piece of REI equipment. Johnny was much more into the soccer ball that made Ice Cream.
Johnny is currently a student at Wayne State University. He also is employed as a Film Specialist at Ameristar Auto Outfitters. In other words, the only reason he is able to afford going on supertrip is because he has a good job working for his dad.
That being said, Johnny has worked very hard, going to school full time and working part time. He was growing tired of all the hard work. He was in much need of a vacation. One could go so far as to say he earned a vacation. Now, did he really deserve a 3 month vacation? That's up for debate.
In any case, Johnny is going to enjoy unwinding, slowing down, eating interesting foods, meting wonderful people, running with bulls, not showering every day, shopping at Eurospar, reading, talking about important issues with friends, listening to Chuck Missler and Phil Collins, sleeping in a tent, and celebrating his youth. This is what he will do for the next three months.
